Subject: Varsity Football Game Time Change for Friday, October 2nd

Due to the recent heavy rainfall, field conditions at Sandy Creek have deteriorated to an unsafe level for competition. After evaluating the current conditions, it has been determined that the field cannot be adequately prepared to provide a safe playing surface for the game

Therefore, Varsity Football against Sandy Creek tomorrow, October 2nd, will now be played AT Grand Island Senior High at 3 p.m. SCHOOL DISMISSAL WILL REMAIN AT 2:35. This is our normal Friday dismissal time and buses and after-school daycare will run as a normal Friday dismissal would.

Students who wish to attend the football game will be allowed to leave school early ONLY if a parent signs them out of the office.

The west stadium will be utilized for fan seating. Gates will open for fans at 2:00 pm

The game will still stream on the Hudl stream at this link:

Amherst FBLA Announces Fall Activity Change for 2026 Trunk or Treat

Due to conflicting schedules, Amherst FBLA will not be hosting our annual Trunk-or-Treat event this Halloween season.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We hope to continue this tradition in future years when scheduling allows.

As we begin a new year, Amherst FBLA is focusing on our mission of developing leadership and fostering a desire to serve our school and community. This year, we are also placing a strong emphasis on student engagement and creating meaningful opportunities for more students to actively participate in FBLA activities and service projects.

While we will miss hosting Trunk-or-Treat this year, our members are excited to continue looking for new ways to connect with students, support our school, and make a positive impact in our community.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding!
